UAE, launching the First Inventors Association

UAE has announced the launch of the first Inventors Association in Dubai. The association aim to support innovation and creativity.

Hessa Essa Buhumaid, Minister of Community Development, has signed-off on Ministerial Decision announcing the launch of the UAE Inventors Society.

The UAE inventor Ahmed Abdullah Majan, chairman of the founding committee, said that the association will work to develop inventors technically and develop their skills. Such development is achieved through holding specialized courses, conferences, exhibitions and related meetings. It is achieved also through providing all means for inventors to showcase their inventions and support them in the media, technically and legally.  One of the aims of the Association is to focus on the role of the inventor in society and make it an example to be followed by other younger inventors. 

The association will establish a national register and launches awards in various fields of inventions. The association will supports programs to prepare, develop and train specialized staff in the field of inventions. The Association shall provide advice to governmental and non-governmental entities in the fields of inventions and adoption of scientific programs. Furthermore, the association will cooperate with educational institutions, relevant bodies and other official bodies and shall represent UAE inventors in international forums.

Ahmed Majan Added: "The UAE Inventors Association is the result of achievements made by UAE young inventors and their winning in several medals. This is as a result of folliwng the recommendations of the Inventors Forum held in Dubai last May. The Forum stressed the importance of focusing on the role of inventors in society and making it an example to follow."
