Her Excellency Hassa Bint Issa Bohamid, Minister of Community Development, has adopted the ministerial decision No. 304 for 2019, announcing the launch of the UAE Inventors Association. The association will be headquartered in Dubai with activities covering the United Arab Emirates. The association will work to promote volunteer work in the field of invention and spread awareness of invention and knowledge, and support national competencies.

The association works to support inventors technically and develop their skills through specialized courses, conferences, exhibitions and related meetings. The association provides all means for inventors to support their inventions and support them in the media, technically and legally.

The focus of the association will be the role of inventor in society. The association aim to make the inventor example to follow and seek to find pioneers of young inventors in all fields. 

The association will also establish a national register and awards system in the fields of various inventions and support programs.   

The Association shall provide advice to governmental and non-governmental entities in the fields of inventions and adoption of scientific programs. Furthermore, the association will cooperate with educational institutions, relevant bodies and other official bodies and shall represent UAE inventors in international forums.

The UAE inventor Ahmed Abdullah Majan, chairman of the founding committee, said that the association will work to develop inventors technically and develop their skills. Such development is achieved through holding specialized courses, conferences, exhibitions and related meetings. It is achieved also through providing all means for inventors to showcase their inventions and support them in the media, technically and legally.  One of the aims of the Association is to focus on the role of the inventor in society and make it an example to be followed by other younger inventors.

Ahmed Majan said: “UAE Inventors Association is one of the suppliers of UAE's inventors, innovators, artificial intelligence and scientific research. The association participated in several events including honoring the first inventors in the UAE annual program in its first term, launching Mohamed Bin Zayed University for “AI”, creating the position of Minister of AI, and launching the year and month of innovation. The UAE through the educational institutions is keen on spreading inventions and creativity between the new generations. The country organized several challenges to the inventors; most significant is hosting the 44th term of the global skills contest, organizing ACTVET in Abu Dhabi and the Emirates Foundation festival in science we think. 

The inventor, Ahmed Majan, highlighted that the new association has several responsibilities and challenges, including establishing a national register and prizes system in fields of various inventions. The association is liable for supporting programs of development and training in the field of inventions. The association develops and invests inventions on its own or in partnership with others.

 

Ahmed Majan pointed out the importance of adopting specialized scientific programs to qualify young people to achieve inventions that benefit humanity. Cooperation with educational institutions, relevant bodies and other official bodies to represent UAE inventors in international forums is a must. The UAE Inventors Association is a result of the achievements of UAE youth. Their winning is translation of the recommendations by the successful forum supervised by the UAE inventor Ahmed Majan, member of

UAE’s top list.
